Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Curtis Jones were all on target as Liverpool booked their spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a convincing 3-1 victory at Wolves.

Arne Slot’s visitors dominated the first half but could not find the breakthrough despite the best efforts of the lively Rio Ngumoha, who was a constant threat in a rare start from the left.

The Merseysiders had suffered a last-gasp 2-1 Premier League loss at Molineux just three days earlier, but ensured lightning wouldn’t strike twice with two goals in 95 seconds following the restart.

First, Andy Robertson scorched a brilliant 20-yard drive into the far corner before the Scot crossed for Salah to fire home from close range.

Jones then sealed the tie 16 minutes from time with a lovely solo goal.

Substitute Hwang Hee-Chan grabbed a stoppage-time consolation for the hosts but it is Slot and co who will be in the hat for the last eight, with ties due to take place on the weekend of April 4.

Next up, Liverpool visit Galatasaray in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie on Tuesday before hosting Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday. Wolves visit Brentford a week on Monday.
