Maverick and controversial Sports journalist Patrick Osei Agyemang aka Countryman Songo has made a return to his popular sports show Fire for Fire.
Songo who has been off the air for more than two months was reportedly suspended by Multimedia Group Limited after he directed yet another set of invectives at then GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi who had sued him for defamation.
The move by his employers according to reports was upon a request by Kwesi Nyantakyi to have the three-time Radio and Television Personality (RTP) ‘Best TV sports show host of the year’ sacked from the company.
However, following the latest exposé by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas which exposed deep-rooted corruption and fraud at the Ghana Football Association, Songo is set to be reinstated as the host of the show that has won several awards.
Songo, therefore, has been seen as vindicated after the latest expose as he is seen by many as a man who championed the course to fight corruption in Ghana Football.
His return was in style as workers of Multimedia flood him and he received several cheers as he made his way into the studios.
