The Vice Chairperson of the Women’s League Board, Roselyn Amoh has acknowledged the non-payment of per diems to the U-17 female team.

Reports suggest bonuses and allowances are also in arrears. It is perhaps a myriad of such issues has prompted the Black Maidens to threaten a strike action to demand their due.

Coach of the side, Evans Adotey also contends the contingent from Jordan was not met at the airport by sports ministry officials adding no Football Association (FA) official has communicated with him.

Black Maidens’ Management Committee Chairman, Augustine Asante while in Jordon participating in the U-17 FIFA Women’s Youth Championship in Amman, had revealed the team was in severe financial straits such that they lacked money to even buy soap to wash their jerseys.

And it appears after their elimination by Korea DPR, stakeholders have washed their hands off the girls but madam Roselyn insists the FA is keen to sort the girls out. The Maidens are currently lodging in a hotel in Accra awaiting custody of their packages.
