Ghana's only representative in Africa, Medeama SC, held Tanzania'sYoung Africans to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the Der Es Salaam Sports Stadium in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A clash.
The game was Medeama's third of the group stage after a loss at TP Mazembe which was followed by a draw with M.O. Bejaia at home.
The hosts took the lead in the second minute when striker Donald Ngoma fired past on-rushing goalie, Daniel Agyei in the box.
However, Medeama fought back and leveled the score in the 19th minute when Bernard Ofori silenced the vociferous home crowd. Ofori cleverly deflected a tame shot from a teammate, wrong-footing the Yanga goalkeeper,  Graphic Online reported.
The result leaves Medeama in third place in Group A with two points.
They trail leaders, TP Mazembe and second placed, MO Bejaia who meet in Algeria on Sunday while Yanga have only one point.Â
