Ghana’s world title hopeful, Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe  will face a new opponent after David Fernando Saucedo has pulled out of the upcoming fight due to injury.

Game Boy would now face South African Mzonke Fana in the IBO World Lightweight Title bout scheduled for December 2 at the Bukom Arena in Accra.

The Argentine, Saucedo suffered an injury setback while training ahead of the bout which caused the postponement from November 25 to December 2.

But the nagging injury would not permit the boxer to make it on time for Friday’s encounter, prompting organizers to look out for another equally formidable opponent to face the Ghanaian.

Fana would arrive at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday night to acclimatize for the bout and expected to give the Ghanaian a good fight.

The experienced 43-year-old Fana known as “The Rose of Khayelitsha” defeated Malcolm Klassen for the IBF World Junior lightweight title in 2007.

He was also engaged in several fights including a WBO international lightweight title with Paulus Moses and Edis Tatli for the WBA Intercontinental Lightweight title.

Tagoe is geared up for his opponent and unperturbed by the change as he would ensure he clinches the world title for Ghana.
