Newcastle United fans have praised Christian Atsu for his latest showing against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Newcastle gave Atsu a rare start in the contest, with Rafael Benitez playing him just off Salomon Rondon.
It was the same combination which had caused Everton problems in midweek.
And although Newcastle were unable to pick up the three points, many Magpies fans were impressed by Atsu’s display in the contest.
On a brighter note Rondon, Atsu & Ki all had cracking games once again #NUFC

That stings cos Wolves have been shite. Atsu’s best game in a black and white shirt though. #NUFC

Fair play to Atsu, worked his socks off today. The lad must be goosed! I’m first to judge him normally but cant fault him today. #NUFC

Give Atsu credit, he’s refusing to accept us being down to 10 men and still giving everything today. Got a point to prove, and is doing so #NUFC

Did not deserve that defeat. Played really well, especially Atsu (who I was critical of earlier!), @AyozePG #NUFC

Atsu has had to play second fiddle to a number of other options in Newcastle’s attack this season.
However, he has been utilised more frequently of late, with the pacy forward seemingly coming back into Benitez’s plans.
Newcastle were beaten 2-1 by Wolves yesterday in what were crushing circumstances.
Benitez’s side looked to have done enough to hold on for a point with 10 men, but Wolves scored a last-minute winner to break the hearts of many of those watching at St. James’ Park.
