The qualification of Upper East Club, Bolga All Stars to Ghana’s Premier League has been welcomed by the town’s folks who hope the club could go on to achieve greater things.
The team’s qualification made it the first from the region to make it to the national football league.
Bolga All Stars qualified form Zone 1 of the Divisional League with 54 points leaving in their wake Kotoku Royal and good old Real Tamale United (RTU) whose efforts to return to the premiership after getting relegated were dashed by the Bolga lads.
Bolga All Stars thus qualified from the division alongside fellow first timers, Elmina Sharks and the unpredictable Accra Great Olympics.
