Ghana is out of the Swimming at the Rio Olympics 2016 as the country’s first male swimmer at the Olympics, Abeiku Jackson failed to progress to the semifinals.

The 15-year-old who holds the 50-metre butterfly, 100-metre butterfly and the 50-metre freestyle national records clocked 24:30s to place sixth in Heat 5 of the Men’s 50m freestyle.

Despite his failure to qualify many on social media have lauded his exploits saying he is one for the future.
