Ghana's chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup to be held in Russia was put in limbo as they were beaten 2-0 away in Egypt.
The defeat comes after the Black Stars failed to beat Uganda in the first Group E qualifier at the Tamale Stadium and leaves them with just a point from the two games.
This has brought Coach Avram Grant's handling of the team under scrutiny and he is facing a possible axing as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) set to hold an executive meeting to review his performance and the recent displays of the team.
But according to a veteran Ghanaian coach, J.E. Sarpong, though Coach Grant's performance has been bad, it will be unwise to sack the Israeli now.
Speaking on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports on Wednesday, Coach Sarpong stated that "Avram Grant would have been long gone if he managed a local club" but "sacking him now is not prudent".
