Former Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffour, has lost his mother, Gloria Abena Ateah on Friday night after a short illness in Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The ex- Bayern Munich star’s mother was known for the amazing story of selling her television set to ensure that Osei Kuffuor achieves his childhood dream of becoming a footballer.
Osei Kuffuor is usually seen with his mother at events in the country and the closeness between the two is admired by all.
Kufuor would certainly be in a state of shock following the sad news of the demise of his ‘sweet mother.’
