Ghanaian international, Antoine Semenyo, has once again been nominated for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award, marking his second nomination this season.
The AFC Bournemouth forward earned the nod for his strike against Fulham in October.
Semenyo forward impressed with a brilliant solo effort in his team’s 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham, dribbling past two defenders before calmly slotting the ball past goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Semenyo faces stiff competition in the award race from high-profile players, including Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, his Bournemouth teammate Justin Kluivert, and Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo.
Additional contenders include Loum Tchauona and Zian Flemming of Burnley, Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade, and Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia, making for a diverse and competitive field.
This is not Semenyo’s first recognition for goals this season, having also been nominated in September for his strike against Liverpool on the opening night of the Premier League campaign.
With six goals and three assists in just nine Premier League appearances this season, Antoine Semenyo will hope to continue his impressive form when Bournemouth face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
