Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) President, Kwabena Yeboah has shot down arguments advanced for the recall of former Black Stars player Kevin Prince Boateng.
According to Mr. Yeboah, even though Kevin is playing well at his club in Spain, he is yet to show manifest attributes to warrant a recall after the Brazil mess.
“Kevin must not be given any other opportunity again to return to the Stars even if he turns a Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo overnight.
“It’s not a question of inviting someone who is in good form but the national team call up is also for those who have shown commitment to the national cause and are ready to sacrifice for it,†the veteran commentator stressed.
Many have described Kevin’s CCTV Africa interview where he expressed willingness to play for the national team when called upon as propaganda talk with many describing the Las Palmas player as an opportunist who only loves the gravy moments.
