Kumasi Asante Kotoko have joined the rest of the World to pay tribute to Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala who passed on after his plane went missing and crashed last month.

Emiliano Sala's death has shocked the football fraternity and tributes are trickling in from all over the world in remembrance of the late Cardiff striker.

The plane which was carrying Sala and pilot David Ibbotson, disappeared off the radar and crashed on 21 January, en route from Nantes to Cardiff.

After a long search, the missing Piper Malibu plane was found on the sea bed off Guernsey.

The body was later sent to Isle of Portland in southern England on board the Geo Ocean III offshore supply ship on Thursday for formal identification by coroners.

"The body brought to Portland port has been formally identified by HM coroner for Dorset as that of professional footballer Emiliano Sala,” Dorset police said.

“The families of Mr Sala and the pilot David Ibbotson have been updated with this news and will continue to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.”

Upon hearing of the news Sala’s sister paid an emotional tribute to her tragic brother in the early hours of Friday morning.

Here are a few tributes that have poured in so far.
