UEFA Champions League returns tonight

The UEFA Champions League makes a return tonight with very mouthwatering fixtures with the clash between Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich as the top liner.

 

The Group D clash qualifies to be a Champions League final in a clash as both teams are unbeaten with Bayern recording wins in all five opening opening games of the season while Atletico Madrid have so far won four and drew three.

Only Barcelona and Real Madrid have been stronger in Europe in recent years than this pair, who would face off at the Vicente Calderon. 

In other games, French champions PSG would face Ludogorets while Napoli and Benfica will square off in another cagey encounter.

Chelsea slayers, Arsenal would be beaming with confidence as they face FC Basel after their outstanding 3-0 victory over the Blues in the English Premier League.

Celtic will host Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who are also hoping to make a mark in this season’s Champions league under the new manager.

FC Rostov would play PSV Eindhoven, while Besiktas would battle it out with Dynamo Kyiv.

Another game to watch out is the encounter between resolute Monchengladbach and Barcelona. Though Barcelona are favourites for the encounter, an upset cannot be ruled out as Monchengladbach are usually a thorn in the flesh of big opponents.
