Legon Cities caused one of the biggest upsets of the season after beating Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Royals playing as guest to the league leaders Kotoko shocked the latter 3-1 at Baba Yara Stadium in a Ghana Premier League matchday 26 encounter.

Legon Cities shot in the lead in the 16th minute through the spot after Yusif Mubarik was deemed to have brought down Jonah Attuquaye.

Michael Otoo made no mistake from the resulting kick to put his side ahead.

Legon Cities upped the tempo after the recess and restored their two-goal advantage.

Hans Kwofie scored his second on the day in the 48th minute after heading home from a Jonah Attuquaye's cross.

The win has seen Legon Cities move to 8th on the log with 36 points while Kotoko maintains their top spot with 52 points.
