Ghanaian boxer, Emmanuel 'Gameboy' Tagoe beat Russian, Vyacheslav Gusev on Saturday night to clinch the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global and International Boxing Federation (IBF) International lightweight titles at Bukom Boxing Arena.
Tagoe was declared the winner of the fight after 12 rounds of fight by an unanimous decision.
The fight which was originally billed for January 26 at the Bukom Boxing Arena was rescheduled following a right-hand fracture sustained by the Ghanaian in the days leading to the fight.
Russian journeyman Gusev, 33, last fought and defeated unfancied Thai, Yotchanchai Yakaeo, in September last year via a technical knockout in Russia.
A native of Prokopyevsk in Russia, Gusev now 31 professional fights under his belt, with six losses.
