Zesco United head coach, George Lwandamina is not carried away despite a 2-0 win against rivals Nkana FC and has shifted his attention to Asante Kotoko's game next week.

The former Chipolopolo boss told Ashh FM in Kumasi that Zesco United will do what they are supposed to do to earn a respectable result at the Baba Yara Stadium when they take on the Ghanaian giants.

The Ndola-based club started their 2018/2019 Total CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign on a good note beating local rivals Nkana FC 2-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday to go on top of Group C.

Despite their impressive start to the competition, coach Lwandamina refused to be carried away by the win after declaring that the Orange and Green's game against the Reds will be one of the toughest tests in the group with Kotoko holding a 100% record at home in the competition.

"Our game against Nkana FC was a local derby so it wasn't an easy encounter but we thank God we won the game "

"Zesco United is not excited been on top of the group because it is just a first game in the group but we just have to prepare for our next game against Kotoko"

"We will be ready for Kotoko because I'm aware that their record in home games are good and it would be an exciting game against Kotoko"

"I don't have to know Kotoko before I face them because my philosophy as a Coach is to know my team and not other teams because football is full of uncertainties so we are just coming to play our normal game against Kotoko"

Zesco United will next travel to Ghana to face Asante Kotoko who suffered a one-nil loss at the hands of Al Hilal who will visit Nkana next on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
