The Champions League quarter-final draw was held few days ago and football lovers across the world are debating on which team will get to the next stage of the competition.

The Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich clash and the Juventus vs Barcelona encounter are games people are looking forward to see in April.

However, the debate in Ghana have been focused on the clash between Leicester and Atletico Madrid. Obviously because of two Black Stars players, Thomas Partey(Atletico Madrid) and Leicester's Daniel Amartey.

Painfully, one would be kicked out of the competition at the end of the round while the other would be looking forward to winning the champions league for the first time.

Partey was close to winning the trophy in the last edition but denied by Real Madrid who are the current Champions League holders.

Going at it for the second time, is it certainly on the minds of Diego Simeone and his charges to win the game against the English Champions.

But for Amartey's Leicester under Craig Shakespeare are looking very confident to challenge for their first ever champions league title.

They have long ago put their title defense behind them as they are just concerned about getting out of relegation after chains of terrible defeats.

Their quest to win the game over resolute Atletico would also be dependent on how solid they would be at defense as their opponents are equally powerful in attack with the likes of Antoine Griezman and Fernando Torres leading the line.

That is where  Amartey's service would be needed. When given the opportunity Amartey must neutralize the attacking threat of Atletico Madrid.

Amartey might be used in defensive midfield and that is where the battle between two Ghanaians would be witnessed.

Partey and Amartey when started in midfield would be the solid forces in front of defense for their sides helping to connect balls to attackers and sometimes taking up attacking duties.

Ghanaians would be watching in keen anticipation to judge which player performed better on the day and how their impact would be on the national team.

But for the two players, patriotism would be left aside as they would focus on getting their various teams to the next stage of the competition.

It would be a delight to watch as both Ghanaian players battle it out in search for glory for club sides in the Champions league.
