There can never be a Christmas in Ghana without good music. Since the beginning of 2021, Ghanaian artistes have dropped back-to-back hit songs for music lovers.

In no particular order, Prime News Ghana brings you a compilation of the top Ghanaian songs that we believe will dominate this year's Christmas.

'Second Sermon' - Black Sherif

If you haven't heard of Black Sherif by now, you need to get hip because he's one young artiste who is definitely next to blow.

After his first freestyle joint titled "First Sermon," he released the "Second Sermon." Sherif narrates his life and struggles in the songs. His first freestyle song earned the rising star a Sarkodie co-sign.

‘Forever' (remix) - Gyakie & Omah Lay

Gyakie's 2020 hit single "Forever" began its uphill climb earlier this year when it debuted on Billboard's Top Triller Global chart at number 4.

The song took off from there and became a viral hit, hitting charts in both Ghana and Nigeria and also leading to the young star landing a deal with Sony Music.

Another result of the song's incredible run is its official remix, this time featuring Nigerian singer Omah Lay.

'Abotrɛ' (Patience) - Amerado & Black Sherif

This song was released about a month ago from Amerado’s patience EP. He featured the second sermon hitmaker, the song has been making waves on musical platforms earning it recognition in our compilations of hit songs for this Christmas.

'Asuoden' (Stubborn) - Sister Afia and Kwame Eugene

Sister Afia teamed up with award-winning Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene who brought a different vibe to an already amazing track.

The new song follows her previous joint tagged, “E Dey Shake” which was assisted by LeFlyyy.

Sɛkɛ - Mr. Drew & Medikal

Mr. Drew teams up with Medikal on this Christmas banger titled ‘Sɛkɛ’. Just about a year ago, Ghanaian singer-songwriter and dancer Mr. Drew collaborated with Ghanaian rapper Medikal on the song ‘This Year‘ which panned out to be one of last year’s festive season bangers.

In a similar fashion, Mr. Drew is aiming to accomplish the same commercial feat this year with another collaborative effort featuring Medikal.

The song titled ‘Sɛkɛ‘ was engineered by a powerful skill set of producers namely Beatz Vampire, Mix Master Garzy, and Kaywa.

This single comes after the successful release of his debut studio project dubbed ‘ALPHA‘.
