Ghanaian disc jockey Kofi Amoako popularly known as DJ Vyrusky has been crowned the DJ of the Year at this year’s Ghana DJ Awards.
Ghanaian DJs were honoured in grand style at the Ghana DJ Awards which came off on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Accra International Conference Center.
The awards saw winners like DJ Vyrusky, DJ Xpliph, Ohemaa Woyegye, and DJ Switch in their respective categories.
In 2015, DJ Vyrusky became the official DJ for MzVee and traveled with her across the country. In the same period, he won the Event DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards.

He was also picked as the artiste DJ for Shatta Wale in early 2016 and toured with the artiste on his UK Tour. He has many hits in the Ghanaian music industry.
Also, DJ Vyrusky was the winner for the best DJ of the year in 2017 at the Ghana DJ Awards.

The awards scheme was established in 2013. It was created to celebrate and appreciate the talents of Disc Jockeys (DJs), as well as to foster the development of the Ghana music industry by rewarding and celebrating Radio, Mobile, and Club Disc Jockeys who have excelled in their fields of endeavor.
Organizers say their main objective is to recognize the electronic dance music scene and seek to let the world know that the art of DJ’ing is a respected craft, with DJs playing a major role in the overall and Entertainment industry.
