Accra’s live music scene is about to get LOUD — in the best possible way.
On May 16, music lovers will gather at the iconic Alliance Française Accra for the much-anticipated “Feel The Brass Concert,” a celebration of Ghana’s booming brass band culture, explosive live instrumentation, and endless creative juices spearheaded by the versatile GG Brass Band.
“Feel The Brass” is not just an ordinary concert; it is a pure full-on sonic invasion. The night promises sweat, groove and chaos — the beautiful kind.
The concert, powered by Roverman Productions, is expected to bring together some of Ghana’s most exciting brass collectives and live performers under one roof for an unforgettable evening of rhythm and spectacle.
Fans can expect performances from The Band Fra!, Ghana Police Band, Elite Groovers, Grooveknot Band, and Damfo Brass Band, alongside appearances from Susan Augustt, Yung Pabi, Teena Twumasi and the energetic host, MC Kofi Darlington.
Over the last few years, Ghana’s alternative live music culture has been evolving rapidly, with brass bands moving from ceremonial spaces into mainstream entertainment. GG Brass has not been any different, they have , over the years proven their held their own at Uncle Ebo plays, becoming the life after every play run at the National Theatre.
“Feel The Brass Concert” appears ready to push that movement even further.
The event starts at 6PM prompt, with tickets going for GH₵100.
