Highlife musician, Kofi Kinaata, has revealed that his mother inspired his music career.
According to the ‘Fante Rap God’, at a young age, his mother had advised him to be either a musician or a footballer.
He also added that he is sure his mother is happy he chose to do music and not play football.
He said his mother inspired him a lot with the tunes she used to play at home and how she sang along.
He believes music is a family business.
“I am very happy because my mom told me at the age of six or seven, [that] she wanted me to sing or play football because I was a very good footballer and I’m singing now,” Kinaata explained on E-Vibes.
“I know she is fulfilled. She is happy and I am happy too,” he said.
“My mother sings a lot In the house, she has a lot of melodies that she plays around. She makes me feel that the thing is in the family and if I am doing it, I am not stealing it or I am not going wayward, so I should just focus and do it,” he added.
