Ghanaian Actress and comedienne, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger was on Wednesday invited by the Police for questioning for allegedly wearing police uniforms without authority.
The Police Intelligence Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department is said to have invited Afia Schwarzenegger after their attention was drawn to some pictures she posted on Social Media.
According to Afia Schwarzenegger, the two pictures she posted of herself in police uniform and the camouflage, while saluting with her left hand was meant for a promo.
Sources reveal that she told the police during the interrogation that the uniforms were given to her by her producer 'Paa' for the purposes of a promo for a new television series on TV Africa titled "Political Police".
Afia Schwarzenegger was, however, unable to produce the said producer whom she claims has travelled outside the country to shoot a documentary and could not be reached on his cellphone.
Meanwhile, the Police has issued a warning that if anybody wants to use the police uniform for any form of television production or educational activity, they must first apply officially to the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service for the right procedures to be followed.
“The police uniform is worn with a cap on, boots and properly tacked in, and whoever wears it, must carry himself or herself well and project the institution in a positive light. But Afia Schwarzenegger was without a beret, she was in heels and she was not dressed appropriately,†said the police source.
The Police has given Afia Schwarzenegger up to close of Today, Thursday to produce the said producer.
