Dancehall King Shatta Wale yesterday literally set the fantasy Dome at Trade Fair in Accra on fire as he launched his first album under the label of  Zylofon Music.

Shatta Wale on the night decided to sell the first copy of his album himself and stated that it was going for GH 100,000 cedis.

Shatta Wale, later invited onto the stage comedian DKB to help sell the first copy of the Reign album.

To the surprise of the fans at fantasy Dome, a Ghanaian couple Mr and Mrs Sleg told DKB he will buy the first copy of the album for GH150,000 cedis because he believes Shatta Wale deserves more than just GH100,000 and the pronouncement of the businessman saw DKB literally faint.

Then he announced that he wants someone who loves and supports him to mount the stage to buy the album for ¢100,000.

Mr and Mrs Sleg, joined by musician Nana Boroo, walked on stage to declare their intentions of buying the first copy of the 17-track album.

Mr Sleg, who was interviewed on stage by comedian DKB, disclosed that he will pay more for the album.

“…I know the CD dey go for ¢100,000 right but Shatta Wale dey deserve more than ¢100,000 so me and my wife we wan give am ¢150,000,” he said amidst loud cheers from fans at the venue.

“Wale…Wale…Wale…,” Mr Sleg chanted.

The Reign album has songs like ‘Gringo’, ‘Bend Over’, ‘I Regret’, ‘If I See’ and ‘Wonder’ featuring Nigeria’s Olamide, the only artiste featured on the album.
