Even though Kwesi Arthur lost to South African music icon Sjava at 2018 edition of Black Entertainment Awards (BET Awards) Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act category, fans on social media still see the Tema based artist as a winner.Â
Kwesi Arthur's nomination took Ghanaians by surprise and triggered a massive campaign on social media with the hashtag #IPICKKWESIA18.
In 2015, MzVee was nominated for the same BET Awards’ all new category, Best New International Act Viewers’ Choice Award
Ghana’s Sarkodie and Stonebwoy who previously won the prestigious award as 2012 and 2015 Best International Act Africa winners respectively couldn’t get any nomination this year but the Tema based Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur made it but unfortunately couldn’t sweep the prestigious award.
The BET Awards was held yesterday, June, 24 in Los Angeles, USA and was hosted by actor Jamie Foxx.
