Ahmed's murder: Police interrogates Kwesi Nyantakyi as investigations continue

The Ghana Police Service says they have interrogated former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi as investigations into the murder of Tiger Eye P.I journalist Ahmed Hussien-Suale continues.


The Police in a statement revealed that the former GFA boss has been questioned as investigations continue into the murder.

Portions of the statement from the police read;

1. A team of detectives and experts have interrogated Hon Kennedy Agyapong MP from Assin Central and a statement taken from him.

2. Also, a team have interrogated Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi former Ghana Football Association President and a statement taken from him.

3. The CID has and continues to interrogate other persons of interest as well as following up on multiple significant leads.

This is a development on the investigations as we are learning for the first time that Kwesi Nyantakyi has also been interrogated.

Ahmed Hussien-Suale was part of the Tiger Eye team that conducted an investigation into the corrupt practices of Ghana Football.

That investigation led to the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi as the GFA boss and also led to he being banned from all football-related activities by FIFA.

He is seen as a person of interest in Ahmed's murder and has been interrogated by the Police.

Ahmed Hussien-Suale an investigative journalist was shot three times on Wednesday at Madina and that led to his death.
