Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has been elected Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
COKA secured 663 votes to defeat his main contender, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, who polled 269 votes, according to provisional results from the party’s regional executive elections.
The margin of 394 votes gives COKA a decisive victory in the contest and places him at the helm of the NPP’s regional affairs in the Ashanti Region.
He is expected to lead the party’s organisational activities and work to strengthen its structures as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections.
The election forms part of the party’s nationwide exercise to elect new regional executives to oversee its activities and mobilisation ahead of the next general election.
