Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been re-elected as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman.

Abronye won the party’s 2026 regional executive elections with 201 votes, beating four other candidates.

His closest challenger, Yaw Afful, polled 44 votes, while Joe Mensah received 31 votes. Afari Gyan and Kwabena Oppong did not receive any votes.

The result gives Abronye another term to lead the NPP in the Bono Region and oversee the party’s activities.

His re-election comes as the NPP reorganises its structures and prepares for the 2028 general elections. The new regional executives are expected to focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots and mobilisation efforts.
