Several Ghanaians including top politicians and parliamentarians have joined in the demonstration against the Defence Cooperation Agreement signed between Ghana and the United States of America.

The demonstration which was scheduled to come off Wednesday, March 28, following Parliaments decision to ratify the agreement was organized by the Ghana First Patriotic Front.

The Minority in Parliament, as well as the opposition National Democratic Congress, have joined the demonstration which is taking place in the capital city Accra.

Former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur was spotted at the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle where the exercise began.

NDC general secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, MP for Ablekuma South Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minority Spokesperson on Defence James Agalga, PNC national Chairman Bernard Mornah, a Former presidential candidate of the PNC Hassan Ayariga among others were seen participating in the demonstration which witnessed a massive turn out.

Hassan Ayariga who is also the flagbearer of All People's Congress(APC) was actually spotted riding on a horse in support of the demonstration.

The demonstrators are opposing the agreement, on the premise that giving unrestricted access to the US military means selling the sovereignty of Ghanaians out.
