 Fire has gutted the Girls Dormitory of W.B.M Zion SHS at Akyem Old Tafo in the Eastern region.
The situation has worsened the accommodation plight of the school.
Reports show the fire started around 5 pm, however, the Fire Service could not arrive early enough to quench the fire.
The fire, according to eyewitnesses, destroyed mattresses, books, uniforms, beds and other belongings of the students.
However, considering the start of the double track system by next week, it is likely this would pose some problems for a smooth run of the system for both fresh and continuing students.
