A domestic fire that broke out at Tse Addo in the Greater Accra Region on Friday morning destroyed several wooden structures but was swiftly brought under control by firefighters, preventing the flames from spreading to nearby properties.

The fire occurred opposite God Super Church and was reported to the Ghana National Fire Service at 8:01 a.m.

Firefighters from the area responded within minutes, arriving at the scene at 8:08 a.m. under the leadership of Assistant Divisional Officer II Kelvin Ntreh.

By 8:32 a.m., the fire had been brought under control, with crews continuing to work to fully extinguish the flames.

The operation was completed at 10:36 a.m., and no injuries or deaths were recorded, offering relief to residents who watched their belongings go up in flames.

According to the Fire Service, nine wooden structures and all their contents were completely destroyed in the blaze.

A metal container and items inside it were also partially damaged. Despite the losses, firefighters managed to save a nearby chamber and hall self-contained building, the God Super Church, and assorted food items, limiting the scale of destruction.

The response was reinforced by additional fire tenders from the Ministries Fire Station and the Military Fire Unit, whose support helped contain the situation and protect surrounding structures.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has begun investigations to determine the cause of the fire and has urged the public to observe basic fire safety practices to reduce the risk of similar incidents.
