The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an expedited exercise to replace Ghanaian passports lost or damaged during the recent floods that affected parts of the country.
In a statement issued on Friday, July 3, the Ministry expressed its sympathies to families affected by the floods and acknowledged that many people had lost important documents, including passports.
To assist victims, the Ministry said it will fast-track the replacement of all passports damaged or lost as a result of the flooding.
Affected persons are required to contact the Ministry on 055 936 8563 between Friday, July 3, and Friday, July 17, 2026, and provide their name, date of birth, gender, as captured in the lost or damaged passport, along with a contact telephone number.
The Ministry said it aims to replace all eligible passports within one week.
It reiterated its solidarity with flood victims and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government's broader recovery efforts following the devastating floods.
