Four people have died in a fiery road crash at Anyinasin Junction in the Eastern Region after a head-on collision between a Hyundai Mighty truck and a Man Diesel trailer.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
The Bunso Fire Station received a distress call at 5:49 a.m. and arrived at the scene by 6:00 a.m., where the fire was already fully developed. Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 6:25 a.m. and completely extinguished it by 6:50 a.m.
The GNFS said four victims in the Hyundai truck were burnt beyond recognition. One female survivor from the truck was rescued by bystanders and is currently receiving treatment at the Akim Asafo Health Centre.

Three occupants of the Man Diesel trailer escaped unhurt before the vehicle caught fire.
Eyewitnesses told officials that the trailer, travelling from Kumasi to Accra, veered off its lane and crashed into the Hyundai truck, which was heading from Asamankese towards Bunso, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
The charred bodies have been handed over to the Police for preservation and further investigation.
The GNFS said both vehicles were completely destroyed by the fire, while the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
