The intended demonstration of students of at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration(GIMPA) over the refusal of management of the university to allow students who have not completed the registration process to sit for the end of semester examination has been called off.

This comes after an intervention by the management of the university to address the grievances of the students following a meeting with the Students Representative Council (SRC). The SRC President of GIMPA, Joseph Osei Mensah revealed the details of the agreement.

According to the SRC President, Joseph Osei Mensah''There wouldn't be a demonstration today on campus. There has been an engagement between the student's leadership (SRC ) and the management of the Institute for a reconsideration for students who could not register on time and the condition will be that they would have to pay a penalty.

''With the penalty, if you happen to be amongst those who have not registered at all then you're paying a penalty of GH600 and if it happens that you registered provisionally but you have not made full payment you are paying a penalty of GH300''.Joseph Osei Mensah added .
