Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh will engage the media on Monday, 7 on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 9 a.m.

The sector Minister will use the opportunity to provide an update on the implementation of the Free Primary Healthcare Programme.

This follows President John Dramani Mahama's launched of the government’s flagship Free Primary Healthcare Policy, aimed at accelerating Ghana’s progress towards universal health coverage (UHC) by placing greater emphasis on preventive care and community-based health services in April.

The media engagement is expected to shed more light on the programme’s implementation and provide clarity on measures being taken to strengthen primary healthcare delivery.
