The Ministry of the Interior has deployed emergency response teams, including security agencies and disaster management units, to areas affected by heavy rains that triggered widespread flooding across parts of the country on Monday morning.
In a public advisory, the Ministry urged citizens to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary movement as floodwaters continue to submerge roads, bridges, and low-lying communities.
It advised residents to remain in safe locations until conditions improve.
“Residents at home have been advised to stay indoors, while those at workplaces or other secure areas are encouraged to remain there until it is safe to travel,” the statement said.
Motorists and pedestrians have been strongly warned against attempting to cross flooded roads or waterways, as water levels can rise rapidly and pose serious danger.

Residents in flood-prone areas have been advised to move to higher ground where possible and to immediately report emergencies or persons in distress to the nearest security or emergency agency.
The Ministry also called for calm and full cooperation with emergency personnel, urging the public to rely only on official channels for updates.
