The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that sixty (60) private senior high schools have been approved to participate in the government’s Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The inclusion is part of efforts to decongest public schools and expand access to quality education under the government's flagship policy.
According to the Ministry, the selected private schools met the necessary infrastructure, academic, and administrative standards to participate in the programme. Parents and students can now consider these approved private schools during school placement.
