NDC Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho has expressed sentiments about personnel of the Ghana Police Service after his 48-hour stay with them.

According to Mr. Anyidoho, he had an interesting stay at the Police Cell and was amazed at the level of professionalism exhibited by the security officers.

Speaking in an interview after he was released form the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) cells on Thursday, March 29, 2018, he commended them for doing their job, adding that he was treated properly.

He said, “The police did their job professionally and I want to congratulate them and thank them; the CID boss Madam Tiwaa and her people. At least Ghana is working”

“It was an interesting experience, but let me say for the records I was not manhandled at any point in time; not by the CID or the BNI.” he added.

Koku Anyidoho further thanked the leadership of the NDC and Former President John Mahama, NDC party members and the Minority in Parliament for their support throughout his stay.

Koku Anyidoho was arrested on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 and charged with treason for some comments he made in a radio interview that the President of Ghana will be toppled with a civil coup.

He spent 48-hours in police custody, while police secured a warrant from the Accra High Court to confiscate phones and other electronic devices belonging to him.

He was granted bail Thursday and could not participate in the Ghana First demonstration against the Ghana-US deal which was massively supported by his colleagues in the opposition National Demonstration Congress.
