LPG Leader Kofi Akpaloo reportedly arrested by EOCO

The leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has allegedly been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

The 2024 presidential candidate was taken from his Kumasi residence on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Though the specific reasons for the arrest remain unclear, the suspect is said to be on his way to Accra, where he is expected to assist investigators with ongoing inquiries.

EOCO has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
