14 suspects undergoing trial for the murder of Major Maxwell Mahama, on Thursday, 12 April, repeatedly rejected eight juror nominees out of fourteen.

The presiding judge, Justice Mariama Owusu was forced to adjourn the case to Monday, 16 April after the ad nauseum rejection of the seventh juror nominee.

The suspects accepted the other six: four males and two females.

Five more potential jurors will be nominated out of which one could fill the last vacuum at the next hearing.

The 14 accused persons allegedly lynched Major Mahama on 29 May 2017 at Denkyira-Obuasi after suspecting he was an armed robber.

The accused persons are William Baah, the Assemblyman of Denkyira Obuasi; Bernard Asamoah alias Daddy, Kofi Nyarko aka Abortion, Akwasi Baah, Kwame Tuffour, Joseph Appiah Kubi, Micheal Anim and Bismarck Donkor.

The others are John Bosie, Akwasi Baah, Charles Kwaning, Emmanuel Badu, Bismarck Abanga and Kwadwo Anima.
