The 2018 NSMQ competition is getting tougher and more interesting as the one-eight session is ongoing. The first contest for Wednesday, June 20 ended on a high note as St Louis SHS beat their competitors thus qualifying to the quarter final stage.

The contest which was held at UGBS was between St Louis SHS, Kumasi High School and Armed Forces SHS.

Although Kumasi High School kickstarted with a lead, St Louis SHS beat them to it with a difference of 3 points, after they picked the last riddle in the final round.

St Louis won the contest with 43 points, while Kumasi High School got 40 points and Armed forces SHTS scored 21 points.

For the two other schools, Kumasi High and Armed Forces, they would have to try again in 2019.

But St Louis is set to compete with two other schools during the quarter final stage and also gains automatic qualification to the 2019 NSMQ.

The Quarter Finals stage spans from June 28th- June 30, and Semi-Finals on July 2, 2018.

The Grand Finale of the NSMQ 2018 will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018.
