Five of the six defeated NDC presidential candidates joined winner John Mahama in a thanksgiving service at Perez Chapel International yesterday March 3, 2019.


Five of the six defeated candidates namely Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Prof. Joshua Alabi, Nurideen Iddrisu, Sylvester Mensah, Alban Bagbin were clad in white.

Lordina Mahama, who is the former First Lady and other NDC officials also joined the congregation at the Perez chapel.

Other party executives, including the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and former Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpauye, were present at yesterday’s thanksgiving service.

Goosie Tanoh, the sixth defeated candidate, however, was unable to attend.

The National Democratic Congress held its presidential primaries last Saturday, February 23, 2019, where John Mahama emerged victorious with 95.24% of the vote, leaving six others to squabble over less than 5% in a poll that involved about 330,000 NDC voters.
