The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the armed robbery attack at the Kwafokrom GOIL Filling Station near Nsawam.
The suspects, identified as Amos Boame and Collins Adjei, were arrested following the robbery which occurred on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The police, in a statement, said another suspect, identified only as Ashivie, is currently on the run and is being pursued for his alleged role in the incident.

Items retrieved from the suspects include an Alder Tupal pump-action gun with serial number 245A-12944, an electronic shocker, a cutlass, and a bullet vest.
The exhibits are being held by police as evidence.
According to police, during the robbery, the suspects shot a security officer and a pump attendant who had taken refuge in an office at the filling station.

The robbers allegedly made away with thirteen thousand four hundred and sixty Ghana cedis in cash and also took away provisions whose value is yet to be determined.
Eastern South Public Relations Officer DSP David Fianko - Okyere said police investigations at the scene led to the retrieval of nineteen spent cartridges and one live round of ammunition.
The injured victims are currently in stable condition.
Police say efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining accomplices and bring them before the law.
Residents have meanwhile been urged to remain calm as police, in collaboration with filling station managers, strengthen security measures to prevent similar incidents.
