The Public Relation Office at gold dealership, Menzgold George Quaye has resigned, sources say he tendered in his resignation on Thursday, October 4, 2018

George Quaye's resignation from Menzgold comes less than 2 months after his appointment.

It is not yet clear what might have influenced George Quaye's decision to part ways with the embattled gold dealership company Menzgold.

However, sources have disclosed that the current development at the firm, particularly regulatory issues with the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchanges Commission could have contributed to his abrupt exit.

The sources also cite a hushed internal strife between George Quaye and the management of Menzgold as a possible reason for resignation.

George Quaye was in August this year appointed as the Head of Communications of Menzgold. The appointment which came as a surprise to many Ghanaians.

The RTP ‘Male Entertainment Show Host Of the Year’ was heard executing his first official duty for Menzgold on Accra-based Joy FM when the station was discussing the issues surrounding Bank of Ghana and Menzgold in August 2018.

George Quaye before his appointment as PRO for Menzgold was the Head of Communications for Charterhouse and also the pioneer for the popular show on GHOne TV, ‘The Pundits’, and was the main host from 2012 to 2018.
