The Minority Caucus in Parliament has revealed its expectations ahead of the presentation of the review of the 2018 budget by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.

The Finance Minister is likely to present the Mid-Year budget review before July 20, 2018, as is required of him by the Financial Management Administration Act of Ghana.

In a statement read by the Minority Spokesperson on Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson, expressed the view that, the current government is confronted with an economic crisis which is the result of mismanagement and a misaligned budget.

They further stated that most of the electoral promises made by the NPP during the 2016 elections were intended only to get them elected and convey an impression of fidelity.

“The reality, however, is that it has led to a major problem for the economy which has translated into severe hardship for the generality of our people,” Ato Forson who is also Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam constituency said.
