The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned parents and guardians against paying money for the placement of their wards into Senior High Schools.

In a statement issued on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Service emphasized that the school placement exercise is absolutely free of charge. It noted that no individual or group has been authorized to collect money in exchange for placement into Senior High Schools or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

GES assured the public that transparent processes have been put in place through the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), Resolution Centres, and official communication channels.

Parents and guardians are urged to report anyone demanding money for placement to the Ghana Education Service or the nearest police station.

The statement stressed that placement into Senior High Schools is based strictly on merit, and the Service remains committed to fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all candidates.
