The Western Region Police Command says it is following laid down procedures to punish the police officers who were on duty the day a Nigerian suspected kidnapper Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, broke jail.
Speaking at the command in Sekondi, the regional police command DCOP Redeemer Dedjoe disclosed that ''We have our procedures, we have disciplinary procedures that we follow and those procedures are religiously being followed, at the appropriate time we will let you know what is happening.''
The suspect is currently facing a court after he was recaptured by the police at Nkroful three days after his escape.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has deployed more personnel from different departments and engaged INTERPOL to help find the three girls who were kidnapped in Takoradi.
However, on 21 January 2019, the Public Relations Officer for the Western Regional Police Command, DSP Olivia said that although a suspect is in police custody, they’re yet to get information on where specifically the girls are,
“We are still working around the clock to get some information because though we have been able to arrest him, he has not been able to tell us exactly where these ladies are. Whether they are in Ghana or not, their state of health and all that. We are assuring the families. It isn’t everything we can say publicly but we are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to get to the bottom of this issue. Certain leads have come up but we can’t put it on air for security reasons,†she said.
Also, the Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP Redeemer Dedjoe is also urging the public to stay calm as the police has received new information that will help it rescue the kidnapped girls.
