The Concerned youth of Techiman have bemoaned the absence of a manager at the Techiman Municipal National Health Insurance(NHIS) office for the past four months.

According to them, the former Manager Appau Augustine was transferred on the 19th March 2018 and since then no Manager has been posted to the Techiman Municipality.

Again, nine out of the ten machines which were used in processing new NHIS cards and renewals have been damaged, leaving only one functioning.

This, they say is due to unqualified personnel operating the machines.

They, however, added that they were given an additional one on Friday 13th July 2018 with the effort of Hon. Yiadom Boakye Henry MP for Techiman South.

The concerned youth also complained that apart from the Techiman NHIS serving Techiman South with a population of 126,000, they also serve places like Techiman North and nearby places such as Marso at Nkoranza, Akomandan, and Afrancho all in Ashanti Region.

They are therefore pleading with the highest authorities to provide a competent Manager immediately and also provide qualified and experienced personnel who can operate and cooperate with the people of Techiman and beyond.
