Two policemen shot at Lapaz in Accra by armed robbers

Two police men have been shot in broad day light on Thursday afternoon at  Lapaz in Accra by some armed robbers. 

The robbers opened fire on the policemen who attempted interrogating them as to why they be allowed to enter the banking hall. 

One of the officers was shot dead while the other was rushed to a hospital for treatment.The incident according to sources occurred at 1pm around the Las Palmas restaurant.

The robbers also snatched a car and sped off towards Kasoa in the Central Region with the police is currently in the hunt for the armed men.

The incident is one of many attacks that the police had come under from suspected robbers whose actions have become a subject of concern especially to the general public. For example, robbers attacked and shot dead an  officer at Tema, Michael Kyorye. The robber was later identified and arrested.

The service is yet to issue a statement on the latest incident.
