UniCredit customer sleeps at banking hall with personal belongings

There was drama at the Apenkwa-Achimota Branch of the uniCredit in Accra on Thursday, October 4, when a 42 -year -old washing bay attendant stormed the banking hall with his personal belongings to demand his savings of GHS7, 500.

Theophilus Antwi stormed the banking hall with personal belongings such as bed, mattress, shoe and a bag full of dress and pomades.

He threatened the shocked management he would bring the rest of his family to join him at the banking hall from Monday, October 8, 2018, till the money is paid.

The surprised management, workers and other customers who witness the drama had no option than to persuade Mr. Antwi to rescind the drama but would not heed to the plea.

Speaking in an interview with PrimeNewsGhana, Mr. Antwi he has been saving with the uniCredit for some years and so went there to withdraw portions of it to continue an ongoing building project.

Mr. Antwi said, several attempts to withdraw his money have failed, hence the decision to sleep at the banking hall to demand his money.
